Birthdays and more

Well Alexis had her 3rd birthday on Sept 10th, and as you can tell by the pictures, she had a blast! Steph came over for dinner (pizza, Alexis' choice) and for cake and ice cream.

Today we went to an Antiochian Orthodox Church in Memphis, it was really neat. At the church, a lady asked Micah how old he was and he told her he was 4. She said that she thought he was at least 6, and he told her it was because he eats too much and it made him too big. I guess they really do listen when you tell them to eat their dinner if they want to grow up big and strong:)

Then later on, on the way home, John Young who went with us asked Micah if he wanted some cashews. Micah said, no thanks, I dont' eat cat shoes. Ha ha ha!

When we came home, Micah walked in the house and remarked, "It sure smells like a fresh lion in here!" Not sure what that meant, but I guess he liked how it smelled. Shortly after that, I told him I was going to go change and he said, but mommy, I like you in that mermaid princess skirt! Ahhh kids.

Lovey Chicken,
I think you should reflect more on here about the kids' reaction to the Orthodox church, especially Alexis and the Cross, and Micah and the "bone head".

Micah, what a funny guy. It's too bad that we only get to see the bad side of him at church. Then again maybe denominationalism scares him, or the lack thereof when talking about TSC. Hopefully the Orthodox church can knock some sense into him :)
